Installation of Software
Note: Be sure the receiver is not in the computer during
installation of the software.
Install the latest version of eInstruction Workspace.
Workspace can be downloaded from http://www.einstruction.com/support/downloads.
For Bluetooth wireless whiteboards:
o Plug in the USB Bluetooth Receiver.
o A Found New Hardware wizard will appear indicating a new device has been detected.
o After a minute the wizard indicates the drivers are found and the device is ready to use.
For Mobis and RF wireless whiteboards:
o Plug in the RF Receiver for the whiteboard to the board control station.
o Plug the RF Receiver for the computer into a USB port on the computer. The computer will
automatically detect the USB device and install the new hardware for use.
o A blue LED light on the RF Receiver will light up when it is plugged in.
Note: Take notice of the USB port in which the Bluetooth Receiver is installed. If the receiver is
plugged into a different USB port another time, the Hardware Wizard will reappear indicating a
new device has been detected again as noted in the steps above.
Once the software and Bluetooth Receiver or RF
Receiver has been installed, restart the
computer. Two new icons will display in the
System Tool tray on the bottom right of the
screen for the Bluetooth Receiver. Only one
icon, the eInstruction Icon, will display for the RF Receiver.
Setup and Device Manager
Connecting Bluetooth Devices
The eInstruction Board and eInstruction Pad connect to the computer
wirelessly using a USB Bluetooth receiver. Note: Make sure that the
Bluetooth receiver is connected and installed on the computer.
Turn on the Board or Pad. A series of beeps will sound. Click on
the eInstruction Tools icon in the System Tool tray.
Note: If you exit out of the eInstruction Tools Icon, go to Start > All
Programs > eInstruction > Device Manager > Device Manager.
Select eInstruction Device Manager.
Click on the green plus button to add a Bluetooth device.
Type in the last four digits or letter combination of the
Bluetooth address and click Connect OR click on Scan for Devices.
Wait for the scan to finish.
Once the scan finds the device, select the device and click Connect.
The Device Manager connects the device and then displays the
device icon in the eInstruction Device Manager window.
The board or pad beeps when connected.
The first time the receiver is put in the computer, it finishes
intalling the software and the computer must be restarted.
